January 16 of this year a seminar on the topic “The importance of the population census” was held at Namangan State University.
The seminar was attended by the first deputy head of the regional Department of Statistics - Khalikov B., Deputy dean of Namangan State University - Sobirkhanov A., specialists of the Department of Statistics and students.
During the seminar, information was provided on the main goals and objectives of the population census in our republic, as well as on the preparatory processes in this direction.
Separately also was discussed the participation of students in the process of conducting the population census. In addition, it was said that the final data will be used as a program for students' theses and scientific research.
The students' questions were answered in detail by the specialists of the Department of Statistics.
