From October 23-26, 2018, a working session and a seminar on migration statistics were organized in the city of Geneva (Switzerland). The working session and workshop were organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and Eurostat.
Sidikov, chief specialist of the department for the formation and analysis of demographic indicators, took part in the working session and seminar from the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics.
Also, representatives of the national statistical bodies of the UNECE member states, the CIS Interstate Statistical Committee (CIS Statistical Committee), Moscow State University, representatives of international organizations such as the UNECE, International Labor Organization (ILO), Migration (IOM), World Trade Organization, UNFPA, UNICEF and UNHCR.
The work session and the seminar addressed money transfer issues, the use of household sample survey data and administrative data in compiling migration statistics.
