On October 29 of this year, an online meeting was held between the Statistical Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the specialists of the Specialized Department of Price Statistics of the National Statistics Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic.
For information: the exchange of best practices and the organization of bilateral meetings between the Statistical Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic are provided for in the memorandum of mutual understanding and cooperation in the field. The meeting was attended by Mukhtar Umarov, head of the Department of Price Statistics of the Statistical Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the staff of the department and the head of the Department of Price Statistics, Aynura Nurboyeva. Lola Baymatova from the Department of International Cooperation, Bakhtigul Bolotbekova, Aynura Isokova and Damira Shatenova, leading specialists of the Department of Price Statistics, were interested.
The representatives of the statistical agency introduced their colleagues to the practice of calculating consumer goods and producer price index, residential real estate price index and made a presentation on "Price statistics in the Republic of Uzbekistan".
At the end of the presentation, the parties discussed the implementation of price index formation, inflation calculation and price monitoring within the framework of participation in the "Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) Currencies International Comparison Program" of 2021.
The parties agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation and received answers to their questions.
