Today, October 22, an educational event was organized at the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Uzbek language gaining the status of the state language.

The event was opened by Qiyomiddin Ahmedov, Advisor on Compliance with Legislation on the State Language at the Statistics Agency. He shared his thoughts on the reforms being implemented to further elevate the status of the Uzbek language, conducting official work in the state language, and ensuring adherence to relevant laws.

The event was attended by a guest speaker, Mansur Yunusov, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, and Head of the Department at the Academy of Public Administration. Yunusov spoke to the participants about the rich history of the Uzbek language and the immense contributions of our great ancestors and jadid reformers, such as Alisher Navoi, Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, Abdulla Qodiriy, Mahmudxoʻja Behbudiy, and Abdulla Avloniy, to the development of the mother tongue.

He also discussed the obstacles the Uzbek language faced in the past and the high level of attention it receives today.
