On October 15-16, 2024, the 13th session of SESRIC, Secretariat of OIC Statistical Commission (OIC-StatCom) was held in Ankara in cooperation with Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB).
The deputy director of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Zakhidjon Ziyayev Muratovich, took part in it.
According to the agenda of the session, "Inclusive data collection in the field of social protection", "Ethics in the use of new data sources and technologies", "Sustainable development goals: monitoring and reporting on SDG 2 (Zero hunger) indicators" giving", "Using artificial intelligence in official statistics", "World population and housing census 2020: lessons learned and plans for the future" were discussed.
Also, the 13th session of the OIC Statistics Committee's report on the implementation of the Action Program for 2021-2025 was held.
During the session, presentations were made on the latest efforts of relevant international organizations to apply artificial intelligence and ML (Machine Learning) in official statistics. OIC countries shared their experiences on this topic.
Within the framework of the events, the delegation of the Statistical Agency met with the leadership of Turkish statistical offices and foreign experts and exchanged opinions on future cooperation issues.
