The State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics is the executive body of the governmental authorities, which carries out a uniform policy in the field of statistics directed to creation and functioning of integrated progressive statistical information system basing on scientific methodology, international standards and rules taking into account national features of development satisfying requirements of public authorities, economic entities, citizens and organizations in the official statistical information.
The State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics ensures the organization of statistical work on the basis of the following principles:
- accuracy, objectivity, impartiality;
- relevance, comparability and stability;
- accessibility, transparency and openness;
- any interference in the order of statistical information collection,
processing and generalization is not permitted.
